4. Jehovah is My Keeper

1 Jehovah is my keeper,
What foe have I to fear?
He is my shield, my hiding place,
A blessed helper near;
When dangers press on every hand,
His grace enables me to stand.

2 Jehovah is my keeper,
Secure He holds me fast,
Safe in the cleft within the rock,
While storms go sweeping past;
Within this holy hiding place

A mighty fortress He,
‘Gainst which the fiery gates of hell
Are hurled unceasingly;
Though Satan and His hosts assail,
God and His church shall yet prevail. [Refrain]

All glory to His name;
Unchanging through the changing years,
His grace is still the same.
He will my trusting soul defend
