116. God Will Answer a Mother's Prayer

1 Has the time been long since in agony,
Unto God your heart first cried
For your wand'ring boy, who had strayed afar
From a loving mother's side?
Has your courage failed as the years have flown,
With your boy unsaved? yet still pray on.

2 It is not in vain you have called to Him,
And your faithful vigil kept;
