101. Angel Presence

1 How sweet is the thought that the angels can come,
With tokens of love from their beautiful home;
They whisper to us of that radiant shore;
Where pleasures unsullied shall be evermore.

2 We feel their sweet presence by day and by night,
While journey on to the region of light;
And when we arrive at the heavenly goal,
They'll welcome us into the home of the soul.

3 A little while longer below we must wait,
Ere they will swing open the evergreen gate;
And give us a view of the flowery way,
That leads to that haven of infinite day.
