Synge Herren Lov og Pris!
Mangen Strid dog her mig venter,
Før jeg Seirens Palme henter
Evig i Guds Paradis.

2 Naar til mig den onde Frister,
Falsk og fuld af Løgn sig lister,
For at Føre mig i Fald:
Hjælp, o hjælp mig, Frelser kjære,
Sværd at bruge, Skjold at bære,
Saa jeg ikke segne skal!

3 I mit Hjerte, paa min Tunge
Lad dit Ord om Seier sjunge,
Og til raabe Satan: vig!
Medens Engle fra dit Rige
