| Text: | The Fountain of Cleansing |
| Author: | Mrs. Frank A. Breck |
| Tune: | [Oh, come to the fountain deep and broad] |
| Composer: | H. L. Gilmour |
1 Oh, come to the fountain deep and broad,
That fountain filled with blood;
Whoever would know the love of God
Must plunge beneath that flood.
Refrain:
Oh, come to the fountain of cleansing,
Where penitent sinners may go;
Forsaking thy pride, plunge into the tide
That washes much whiter than snow.
2 The love of the Father fixed a plan,
A dying world to save;
He paid the whole debt of sinful man,
And liberates the slave. [Refrain]
3 It is through the blessed Son of God
We hear the gracious call;
Alone in his love the winepress trod,
And purchased peace for all. [Refrain]
4 Oh, wonderful, boundless, dying love,
That filled the fount for sin;
It opens the way to heav’n above,
And lets the sinner in. [Refrain]
