11. O Love of Christ

1 A sweet assurance Jesus gives me,
That I am His and He is mine;
I often feel His presence near me,
And hear His words of love divine.

Refrain:
O love of Christ that sought and found me,
And brought me back into His fold,
I love to tell the wondrous story,
The story that will ne’er grow old.

2 I know, in life or death, my Saviour
Will ever be my Shield and Guide,
His precious promises are changeless
And shall for evermore abode. [Refrain]

3 In perfect peace no fear alarms me,
I lean upon His mighty arm;
And though my days be few or many,
His love will keep me from all alarm. [Refrain]

4 Thro’ all His wondrous love and mercy
Rich blessings daily now are mine,
And often thro’ the gloom and shadow
I hear His precious voice divine. [Refrain]
