163. Hearest Thou Not?

1 Hearest thou not the voice of Jesus,
Calling the lost ones home to the fold?
In tend’rest tones He thee entreateth,
Reject not His proffered mercy and love.

Refrain:
Won’t you give your heart to Jesus?
Oh, so lovingly He calls thee;
Dear sinner, friend, oh, haste to greet Him,
And low at His feet now bow.

2 On Calv’ry’s cross His blood He shed,
To save thy soul from endless death;
To wash away thy guilt and sin,
That thou eternal life might have. [Refrain]

3 No ransom He of thee requireth,
The price is paid, thy pardon sealed;
Yield now to Him thy heart’s affection,
Trust thou His love and be forgiv’n. [Refrain]

4 Delay not then thy soul’s returning,
Flee to His outstretched arms of love;
This very hour claim thou His promise,
Believe and now thy Saviour own. [Refrain]
