1 Do not chase away the sunbeams,
Cheering us along the way;
Let us gather up their brightness,
In the heart to live for aye.

Chase them not away,
Let them come today,
Gather up the golden sunbeams;
Lighting darken’d ways
Brightly with their rays,
Do not chase away the sun beams.

Treasure each bright, sparkling ray;
Keep the beauty and the splendor

Welcome them with grateful heart;
