1 Marching with gladness on our way,
Looking to Jesus day by day,
Trying his wondrous love to show,
We onward go;
Marching with gladness, naught to fear,
Jesus our Saviour still is near
Sweeter, O sweeter than music his name we hear.

Marching from day to day;
Under his banner, how calm and blest!
He maketh his own to rest.

2 Marching with gladness, joy, and song,
Telling of Jesus all day long,
Trying the precious seed to sow,
We onward go;
Marching with courage, brave and true,
Keeping the Saviour still in view,
Asking each moment for wisdom and strength anew. [Refrain]

3 Marching in pastures green and fair,
Jesus our Saviour leads us there,
Marching by cooling streams that flow,
We onward go;
Marching together, O how sweet,
Over the river when we meet,
