1 Shepherd of Israel, patient and gentle,
Guarding thine own with tenderest care,
We, as thy flock, the sheep of thy pasture,
Come at thy call, thy bounty to share.

Patiently lead us, graciously feed us,
Seek for the one that goeth astray;
Ever attend us, shield and defend us,
Guard us by night, and keep us by day.

2 Shepherd of Israel, kindenst and truest,
In ev’ry hour of danger be nigh;
Temper the wind and speak to the tempest,

Look upon us in mercy and love,
