107. Thy Kingdom Come

1 “Thy kingdom come” is the prayer we are taught to pray,
Pleading that Jesus all nations of men shall sway;
Thy kingdom come, do Thou hasten the glorious day!
Thy kingdom come, O Lord, Thy kingdom come!

Refrain:
Thy kingdom come, ‘midst the northern snows,
Thy kingdom come, where the palm-tree grows;
Far as the sun flings its glorious ray,
Where men are groping to find the Way;
Speed Thou Thy messengers near and far,
Led by the light of the Morning star;
That all the nations may know Thee and love Thee,
Thy kingdom come!

2 “Thy will be done”—our allegiance by this we prove;
Loving Thy will, tow’rd the day of Thy pow’r we move;
Yearning to share in Thy kingdom of light and love;
Thy kingdom come, O Lord, Thy kingdom come! [Refrain]

3 Hasten the day of a world-wide and Christian peace;
Stretch forth Thy hand that the wars of the world may cease;
Reign Thou in love that all captives may find release;
Thy kingdom come, O Lord, Thy kingdom come! [Refrain]
