| Text: | Having done All, to Stand |
| Author: | Miss I. H. Johnston |
| Tune: | [Soldier of Christ, be steadfast] |
| Composer: | P. Bilhorn |
1 Soldier of Christ, be steadfast!
This is the "evil day;"
Look to your Royal Leader,
Ever His word obey.
Taking the heav'nly armor,
Wait for your Lord's command;
This is the charge He gives you,
"Having done all, to stand."
Chorus:
Stand, therefore, stand,
Stand, therefore, stand;
Trusting in Jesus, our Saviour,
Having done all to stand.
2 Patient and true and faithful,
Facing the deadly foe;
Stand in the place appointed,
March, when He bids you go.
All through the passing moments,
Onward to Canaan's land;
Banish all fear and doubting,
Having done all, to stand. [Chorus]
3 This is no time to question,
This is no time to yield;
Never a soul should falter,
Bearing His sword and shield.
Keep in the ranks of Jesus,
Watching on ev'ry hand;
This is the Christian duty,
"Having done all, to stand." [Chorus]
