28. We Sing to Thee

1 We sing to thee, our blessed Lord;
O, kindly hear, thy help afford;
Lead us to own thy wondrous ways,
Inspire our hearts to nobler praise.

At whose command, the shadows flee;
We sing to thee, a joyful song,
Let faith and Love the notes prolong;

The pearly gates to open wide,
