115. Every step of the way

1 When the clouds are hanging low o'er my pathway,
And I know not what lies out ahead;
Then I hear a still small voice softly whisper,
You're My child, if by Me you'll be led.

Refrain:
I don't know what may lie out ahead,
As I walk with the Master each day;
But I know I'm on my way to that city
And He'll lead every step of the way.

2 As I travel here below on this journey,
Many things I may not understand;
But I know who holds my hand and He'll lead me,
All the way thru this dark weary land. [Refrain]

3 Many times when all alone, I get lonely,
For my friends who have gone on before;
They are waiting here for me in that city,
Far away on that beautiful shore. [Refrain]
