59. I've had a vision of Jesus

1 Jesus our Blessed Redeemer
Back to the earth soon will come
And with His Saints gathered round Him
Singing their glad welcome song
Oh, what a day of rejoicing
Glorious praises will roll
I've had a vision of Jesus
It's filling and thrilling my soul.

Refrain:
I've had a vision of Jesus
I've caught a glimpse of my Lord
Down thru the clouds He is coming
just as he writes in His word
See the great light in the Heavens
Shining from the east to the west
I've had a vision of Jesus
Bringing that glad day of rest.

2 As on the wings of an eagle
We shall go souring [sic] away
Over the mountains of trials
Past all the cares of that day
If we but live in that vision
Just a short while it will be
Then all our cares will vanish
Swallowed in reality. [Refrain]
