49. Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace

1 In this world of tribulation,
With its storms of endless strife,
There is peace, perfect peace;
Christ will be your consolation,
He is Life, Eternal Life,
He will keep you in perfect peace.

Refrain:
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on Thee,
Because he trusteth,
Because he trusteth in Thee.”

2 Let us sing amid our sorrow,
“He will wipe all tears away,”
There is peace, perfect peace;
Faith will bring a glad tomorrow,
Tho’ the clouds hang low today,
As He keep us in perfect peace. [Refrain]

3 Since the Holy Spirit sealed us,
And thro’ Jesus’ blood we’re free,
There is peace, perfect peace;
With God’s hand outstretched to shield us,
We shall more than conqu’rors be,
For He keep us in perfect peace. [Refrain]
