1 I have followed truth and justice;
leave me not in deep distress;
be my help and my protection,
let the proud no more oppress.
For your word and your salvation,
LORD, my eyes with longing fail;
teach your statutes to your servant,
let your mercy now prevail.

2 I am yours, O give me wisdom,
make me know your truth, I pray;
sinners have despised your statutes;
now, O Lord, your pow'r display.
LORD, I love your good commandments
and esteem them more than gold;
All your precepts are most righteous;
hating sin, to these I hold.
