154. Stand by the Home

1 Let us do what we can for our beautiful homes,
And remember all hope centers there;
Let the vile demon drink never enter within,
To despoil what is noble and fair.

Refrain:
Let us stand, stand, stand by the home,
With this god given pow’r, rise and slay,
And the great giant evil will fall at our feet
If we only just vote as we pray.

2 Yes, the legalized foe, is the foe that we dread,
There’s none other so vicious and strong;
‘Tis a foe long supported, protected and cheered,
‘Tis the demonized foe of our homes. [Refrain]

3 The Political parties fall down in disgrace,
And then worship this hideous foe,
And they pray that this blessing may rest on their heads,
And they tremble lest he should say no. [Refrain]
