19. Continually Dropping

1 Each blessing from God cometh down like the rain,
Dropping, dropping, dropping down;
Some token of love every day we’ll obtain,
Continually dropping down.

He sendeth the showers, refreshing and sweet,

With goodness and mercy our days are replete,
Continually dropping down.

2 The unceasing patter makes earth loudly ring,
Dropping, dropping, dropping down;
Till even the deserts with joy shout and sing,
Continually dropping down. [Refrain]

3 Like silvery drops from the clouds far above,
Dropping, dropping, dropping down;
So comes our kind Father’s sweet blessing of love,
Continually dropping down. [Refrain]
