6. Hark, there's Someone Knocking!

1 Hark, there’s Someone knocking
At thy heart today
O haste in joy to greet Him,
Turn Him not away.
‘Tis the Saviour seeking,
For an entrance there.
Arise, fling wide thy heart’s door
To this stranger fair!

Refrain:
O haste, arise and let the Saviour in,
This hour He’ll cleanse thy heart from sin,
Thy doubts will cease, He’ll bring sweet peace,
Arise, and let the Saviour in.

2 O how oft has Jesus
Waited there before!
Then linger now no longer,
Open wide the door.
Joy and peace He’ll bring thee
For thy doubt and sin.
Arise, make haste to answer,
“Jesus, enter in.” [Refrain]

3 Time is passing onward,
Soul, no longer wait;
O bid the Saviour enter
Ere it be too late.
All to Him surrender,
O in gladness say,
“My Saviour, I enthrone Thee,
In my heart today.” [Refrain]
