117. After You Reach Home Look For Me

1 If some night God shall send His death angel,
With a kiss, who will set your free;
When your feet press the gold streets of heaven,
after you reach home look for me.

Refrain:
Look for me, I'll be there;
After you reach home look for me;
When you're happy in your house of many mansions,
after you reach home, look for me.

2 We have walked down the vale here together,
and I know I will lonely be;
But since steering my course for that city
After you reach home look for me. [Refrain]

3 Just how long I will be on the journey,
Is not for me to know or see;
Do not tired grow of watching and waiting;
After you reach home look for me. [Refrain]

4 I will often grow homesick for heaven,
Tho', in memory you will be;
But be sure I will join you there sometime;
After you reach home look for me. [Refrain]
