117. Heaven is here

1 Heaven is here! We find our kingdom
Formed by thought and word and deed.
May Thy grace divine, O Savior,
Keep us faithful to Thy creed.
Trustingly we follow onward
To the sunlit heights above,
By Thy tender care surrounded,
And protected in Thy love.

2 Heaven is here if we but claim it,
Cast aside our wasted years.
Christ, our hope and strength renewing,
Clears away all seeming fears.
Who can doubt, O blessed Savior,
Walking hand in hand with Thee,
That the glory of Thy presence
Holds us firm in unity!

3 Heaven is here, O praise Jehovah!
If we listen, we can hear
How His voice in tones compelling
Gently echoes in our ear.
Loving Father, never failing
When in doubt Thy children call,
Sweet the mantle of Thy presence
Spreads its glory over all.
