1 My brother, the life-blood of Jesus can cleanse,
If only applied to your soul;
Sweetest joy comes to those whose sin-stains are washed,
And from sin they are freed and made whole.

2 O brother, that blood flowed from Calvary’s Cross
For you and your comrades in sin;
Cast off the rude shackles that Satan imposed,

3 Have you caught the word of the Saviour of men?
Do you own Him as your blessed Lord?
Come to Christ, sin-sick soul, in the hour that is yours;
Place your trust in His infinite word. [Refrain]

4 My brother, don’t go to the great judgment bar
With a life bending low with sin’s blight;
Meet God at His throne with Christ as your Guide,
While on earth let your life-light shine bright. [Refrain]
