123. We praise Thee, Lord, with pow’r to save

1 We praise Thee, Lord, with pow’r to save!
Thou didst arise from death and grave.
Thou hast dispelled the pow’rs of night;
Our life is now revealed in light.

2 My soul is ever praising Thee!
I am redeemed eternally.
From heaven’s throne to earthly strife
Thou didst descend to give us life.

3 I’m reconciled to God through Thee.
Salvation’s strength is crowning me.
With God Thou reignest without end;
Thou art my Saviour and my friend.

4 From judgment and damnation free,
Believing I do worship Thee!
Thou livest and I’m ever Thine,
And now eternal life is mine.

5 I shall, when Thou, O Lord of All,
Shall come with pow’r the dead to call,
Arise from death and leave my grave
To dwell with Thee forever safe.

6 Before Thy throne and in Thy sight,
Forever like the angels bright,
In realms above the saved shall shine.
O what a glory shall be mine!

7 O dwell within me, Lord, I pray!
I’ll strive to live for Thee each day.
O, may my faith in Thee be true;
Unto Thy image me renew!

8 Since Jesus rose, there’s strength and life
To help me through this earthly strife.
O, Saviour, grant that I may be
Thy faithful servant, pure and free!

9 Be Thou my comfort, light, and share,
My life, salvation, here and there.
O, may my soul to Thee ascend,
When here my pilgrimage shall end!

10 O, thou redeemed, do glorify
The Saviour, who now lives on high!
And there He intercedes for thee;
He lives in all eternity!
