1 We’ll now depart, ye faithful friends; And from this place we’ll go; The Lord, in whom our spirits blend, Will lead us on the road. 2 The Lord our welfare always seeks; He grants His word and grace; He comforts him who sighs and weeps, Consoles at ev’ry place. 3 Let’s now depart in tranquil joy, And to God’s word hold fast. Should Satan come us to annoy, Our prayers will drive him back. 4 Oh, watch ye faithful brothers mine, While in this pilgrim’s dale; The mighty Word of God divine, Your compass, will not fail. 5 Ye sisters all, stay on the way In service for the Lord, In watchful striving, fervent prayer, You’ll find a rich reward. 6 May we be cheerful now and blest, And sojourn side by side; Our path leads to eternal rest, To heaven’s paradise.
