217. Let us hear and give attention

1 Let us hear and give attention, God’s own teaching to embrace, For again He maketh mention of His covenant of grace; Words of life and consolation come to us, His congregation, How thro’ Jesus Christ, His Son, full redemption we have won. 2 May our hearts each day be opened unto Thy good Word, O Lord! Lest our calling be neglected, lead us on with one accord! Let Thy Spirit, we implore Thee, teach us how we may adore Thee. Close to Thee let us remain, till Thy likeness we attain.
