​1 Our song of praise to God ascend,
And there with angels’ voices blend.
The day of gladness now is here;
Sing hallelujah with good cheer. Hallelujah!

2 From heaven, in the dark of night,
He came and brought eternal light.
Behold now how this light divine
Throughout this pilgrim’s dale doth shine. Hallelujah!

3 And in the Father’s image pure
He came earth’s trials to endure.
He leads us with a gentle hand
To that long cherished, happy land. Hallelujah!

4 He, who in glory there doth reign,
Did dwell on earth as humble man;
That through His noble sacrifice,
We find the path to paradise. Hallelujah!

5 And when our days here are complete,
As brethren, we our Lord shall meet,
And be transformed before His sight
To glory and celestial light. Hallelujah!
