Ninety percent of the collection is Methodist-related, consisting of hymnals and papers dealing with the editing and publishing of these hymnals. The remaining ten percent are gospel hymnals, hymnals of other denominations, and general hymnals. Official hymnals of the Methodist Episcopal Church; Methodist Episcopal Church, South; Methodist Protestant Church; Methodist Church (United States); United Methodist Church (United States); Wesleyan Methodist Church (Great Britain); hymnals of John and Charles Wesley before 1791 (144).The Alfredo and Clotilde Náñez Hispanic Church Music Collection consists of about 200 hymnals, choirbooks, cancioneros, song sheets, and manuscript worksheets (manuscript sheets with translations of English hymns into Spanish with notes).
