There is a somewhat "modern" revision of the "Navy Hymn" (Eternal Father, strong to save) which has stanzas for land, sea, and air. It's in the Episcopal Hymnal 1982 (#579) and probably others, though not available on this site.
Here is the result when one searches the database for hymns that are listed in one or more hymnals as having "Memorial Day" as a topic. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an automated way to narrow it down by "modern"-ness.
It's not a complete answer, but you can add the "text classification" field to the search and click "non-archiac language", which cuts the results down from 29 to 3. Might help a bit.
