I recently was provided with some documentation supporting the claim that Oscar Bernadotte (1859 - 1953) of Sweden was the original author of the lyrics we know in English as "I'd Rather Have Jesus," widely attributed to Rhea F. Miller.

Here were some of the sources (all in Swedish) provided in support:

I don't read Swedish, but got the gist of the documentation using Google Translate on the couple of accessible online sources. Anyone else have input on this?
