Uploading an xml and not sure why I'm getting this error. I know just enough code to be dangerous but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Use of uninitialized value in lc at /srv/drupal7.hymnary.org/scripts/import/backup2db.pl line 394.

This is a minor bug. The spreadsheet should upload with all the information so there is no need for concern. We do have plans to fix the bug in the future.
