Harvard, B.A., 1917; graduate study, 1918-1924; Parker fellow, Sorbonne, Paris, 1921-1922. Lecturer in poetry, Columbia University, 1929-1937. Consultant in poetry for the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., 1937-1944. Poet, novelist, editor.
