John Earl Bayer, Jr., son of John and Lucille Lavy Bayer was born July 8, 1954 in Dayton Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly at his home near Dayton, Ohio on December 8, 2016 at the age of 62. He was a member of the Old Brethren Church near Bradford, OH. He graduated from Dixie High School in 1972, traveled widely and raised produce on his farm near Dayton. For over 30 years he composed and sung Sacred Harp music while raising his family.
