Marcus Elcanie Bolch (or possibly Bolick). (July 7, 1883-1937). Grew up on Caja's Mountain in North Carolina, and studied music at the Hudson School of Music. He also delivered mail between Hudson and Caja's Mountain. Active in writing hymns and songs, playing in the family band, and leading a choir.
