Johnson, Nathaniel Emerson, b. 1804, d. 1847. A hymn by this writer is given in The Church Praise Book, 1882, under the date of 1832, as "Christ had His sorrows when He shed" (Christ, Our Brother). The same hymn is given in Beard's Unitarian Collection of Hymns, Lond., 1837, No. 162, as from the Christian Register.
