Rhoades, Henry Tull, M.A., s. of the Rev. J. P. Rhoades, Rector of Clonmel, Tipperary, was born at Clonmel, April 17, 1837. He was educated at Rugby School and at University College, Oxford (B.A. 1860, M.A. 1864); was appointed in 1865 assistant master at Clifton College, in 1878 headmaster of the Lower School at Rugby, and from 1890 to 1902 was an assistant master at Rugby School. His hymn,
Thou, Whose unseen servants stand [St. Michael and all Angels], was first printed in the Rugby School Hymn.Book , 1896, No. 154, and is in the Public School Hymn Book, 1903, No. 129. [Rev. James Mearns, M.A.]
