Full Name: Tapp, Jakob
Death Year: 1630

Tapp, Jakob. Little is known of this writer. He became pastor primarius and superintendent at Schöningen, Brunswick, in 1616, and died there in 1630 (MS. from Superintendent Wichmann, Seboningen, &c). The hymn, "Das alte Jahr vergangen ist" has sometimes been ascribed to him. See p. 1093, i.
