Full Name: Whalon, Pierre
Birth Year: 1952

Pierre Welté Whalon was born in Newport, Rhode Island, in 1952. He was ordained deacon and priest in The Episcopal Church in 1985, and served parishes in Pennsylvania and Florida. On November 18, 2001, he became the first elected Bishop in charge of the Convocation of Episcopal (formerly American) Churches in Europe. On April 6, 2019 he passed on the crozier to the second elected Bishop in charge, the Rt. Rev. Mark Edington.
