Born: July 4, 1843, Mississippi. Died: October 3, 1914, Newton County, Mississippi. Buried: Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Little Rock, Mississippi.

Williams was the son of Richard Henry Williams and Lucinda Hannah Williams, and husband of Julia Ann Chaney. He farmed, operated a "horse gin," and taught at a singing school. As of 1913, he was living in Decatur, Mississippi.
