Roger Cole Wilson was long-associated with Ellen J. Lorenz Publishing, as was his father. Born in Dayton, he studied at the U. of Southern California at Los Angeles. He returned to Dayton, where he was born and raised, to join Lorenz Publishing. Wilson wrote cantatas, operettas, sacred and secular choral music, and especially for organ. He was editor of The Organist from 1940-1950. He also served as editor for The Volunteer Choir.
