1 Merciful God, vouchsafe to me,
That last transcendent victory;
That crown of all Thy graces give,
And bid me in Thine image live,
’Till wholly sanctified I rise,
To feast on Christ in paradise.

2 Christ is the Tree of Life divine;
I live indeed, if Christ be mine;
And when He doth Himself bestow,
My God as I am known, I know,
And all the life of glory prove,
For ever filled with heavenly love.
