1026. Guide Us Waking, O Lord

Text Information
First Line: Now, Lord, let your servant go in peace
Title: Guide Us Waking, O Lord
Author (refrain): John Weaver
Refrain First Line: Guide us waking, O Lord
Publication Date: 2012
Scripture:
Copyright: © 1988 English Language Liturgical Consultation (ELLC); Refrain © 1985 John Weaver
Notes: This setting of the canticle for night prayer is best learned through repeated use. The refrain may be taken alone as a frame for the reading or chanting of the canticle. The use of the Gloria Patri is optional. This is also a wonderful setting for daily use in the home at bedtime. Children easily learn the responses in the verses, and the refrain is a wonderful prayer to be sung together before sleeping.
