AITON was born September 2, 1866, near Pittsfield, Illinois; came to Texas September 19, 1878, raised to manhood at Creedmore. He has a direct way of reaching the gist of the subjects he deals with. A good judge of human nature, and is determined to obey the commands of King Jesus. Aside from his literary attainments he has prepared himself for the practice of medicine, and is one of the song writers and composers of music in our ranks. He is not practicing medicine now, but devotes his time to teaching and writing music and preaching the Gospel. He was associated in "Tones of Praise," one of the popular books in the brotherhood.
