Harry Loper was born William Harry Loper on March 20, 1856, the 10th of 11 children born to William S. Loper and Sarah Ann Wilden. He married Laura Clark on November 29, 1878 and had one daughter, Carrie. He and his small family were what was known as 'singing evangelists' and several times led worship for famed evangelist Billy Sunday. In news clippings, he is sometimes referred to as 'Rev. Harry Loper' or 'Prof. Harry Loper' although to date, no record has been found of him attending any kind of college or seminary. He died on January 5, 1930 and was buried in Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, New Jersey. Wayne Loper (great-great-great nephew)  Go to person page >
