We Shall See Him

Representative Text

1 We are absent here from the Lord we love,
We shall see Him by and by;
Share His bliss and love in the home above,
In the happy home on high.

Chorus:
We shall see Him, and be like Him,
We shall see Him, by and by,
We shall see Him, and be like Him,
We shall see Him in His glory by and by.

2 Oh, the promise sweet, we shall Jesus meet,
And be with Him where He is;
In His likeness come to our heav'nly home,
To the home more fair than this. [Chorus]

3 At the set of sun, when our work is done,
He will stand at heaven's door,
And a welcome give, and His saints receive,
To be with Him evermore. [Chorus]

4 He will meet us there at the portals fair,
Of the new Jerusalem;
And His loved and own will forever crown
With a kingly diadem. [Chorus]

5 If we love the Lord and obey His word,
If we walk with Jesus here,
In His beauty dressed, with His likeness blest,
At His throne we shall appear. [Chorus]
