Representative Text

1 Do you feel your load of sin? Then arise!
Let the work of grace begin, Come arise;
Jesus waits to make you free,
He will give you grace to be
His for all eternity; Oh, arise!

2 Do not fear the scorn of those— Bravely rise!
Who are eager to oppose, Come arise;
Think of Him who came to die,
There is help for all who try,
Now on Him alone rely, Oh, arise!

3 Do you long for sweetest rest? Then, arise—
It is found on Jesus’ breast, Oh! arise;
Have you wandered away?
Will you seek the Lord today?
Will you now His voice obey? Will you rise?

4 Who will choose the Lord today? Who will rise?
There is danger in delay, Oh, arise!
Is it hard to speak, or stand?
Only lift a trembling hand—
Heed your thinking soul’s demand— Raise your hand.
