Representative Text

1 Keep the household angels singing, singing;
Keep the pleasant music ringing, ringing;
Gentle love and cheerfulness
Shall our happy firesides bless;
Keep the household angels singing.

Refrain:
’Tis love that makes the home so happy,
Love that makes the home so bright;
With all her sister angels
Arrayed in heav’nly light,
’Tis love, love that makes the home so bright.

2 Joyful be our voices singing, singing;
Hearts with grateful music ringing, ringing;
Daily trials, daily care,
Patience shows us how to bear;
Keep the household angels singing. [Refrain]

3 Words of truth and kindness singing, singing;
Help to one another bringing, bringing;
Having charity for all,
Trusting God, whate’er befall,
Keep the household angels singing. [Refrain]
