Representative Text

1 Lord, in Thee my hope and trust are stayed,
To the rock of Thy salvation cling;
To be wholly Thine I’ve often prayed,
And Thy praises are the songs I’ll sing.

Refrain:
I am trusting in the Lord,
And I know that He is nigh;
And by trusting we can only see
The blessèd land,
And gain a home on high.

2 Lord, in trusting Thee I’ll find relief
From the trials here I’m bound to bear;
Even in my sorrow and my grief,
Joy from Heaven by Thy grace I’ll share. [Refrain]

3 Sinful flesh may suffer, crave and pine,
Even groan beneath its earthly load;
Yet a joy in my Redeemer find,
In the end a safe and sure abode. [Refrain]

4 There my joys shall ever freely flow,
With the ransomed of Thy kingdom shine;
All because I worshipped Thee below,
A reward in Heaven I shall find. [Refrain]
