1 This is where the Lord Christ conquers,
He gives to me His perfect peace.
I am without both fear and doubt,
I have deep joy and sweet release.

2 I feel the prayers of many saints,
Sustain me in this trying hour.
This is the time my Lord divine,
Does manifest His keeping power.

3 I do not fear the valley’s depth,
I do not fear ’though it be night.
With Jesus near I need not fear,
For all is clear, and all is bright.

John Casper Bieri attended Dickinson College and Drew Theological Seminary in Mlillerstown, Penn. He was minister at several United Methodist churches in Philadelphia from 1902 to 1940.
