He Is Coming Again

We are looking toward the sky with a hoping, trusting eye

Author: Austin Taylor
Tune: [We are looking toward the sky with a hoping, trusting eye]
Published in 3 hymnals

Representative Text

1 We are looking t'ward the sky with a hoping, trusting eye,
For the coming of the Lamb who once was slain;
As He went from earth away He is coming back some day,
Yes, we know He is coming again.

Chorus:
He is coming, He is coming,
Whether morning, noon or night, we know not when;
He is coming, He is coming,
Yes, we know He is coming again.

2 He is coming by and by, He is coming in the sky,
As He promised in His everlasting word;
O the glory it will be when His presence we shall see,
When He comes to, His faithful, reward. [Chorus]

3 He is coming back we know, with the angels white as snow,
And shall gather all His faithful to Him then;
Let us watch and work and pray, and be ready ev'ry day,
For we know He is coming again. [Chorus]
